GCCIS Graduate Co-op Orientation

When: January 30, 2023, 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Where: Virtual, Career Connect

This co-op orientation is required for GCCIS graduate students wishing to participate in co-op. It will be particularly beneficial for students planning to seek co-ops for Summer 2023 or Fall 2023.

Students in the following programs are invited to attend:

  • MS Computer Science
  • MS Data Science
  • MS Information Technology & Analytics
  • MS Human Computer Interaction
  • MS Software Engineering

We will cover RIT co-op policies, job search strategies, and basic resume tips.

RIT’s Wegmans School of Health and Nutrition offers new MS degree in dietetics and nutrition

Rochester Institute of Technology is offering a new master’s degree in dietetics and nutrition to prepare graduates to become registered dietitian nutritionists with a deep understanding of food as medicine. The two-year graduate program will start in the fall and enrollment is open now.

MBA student uses experience at Shop One to help grow her own business

Maddy Schoenfeld pursues an MBA to learn more about the business side of art sales. Her undergraduate education helped her hone her craft, but she knew she needed more knowledge to help her jewelry business thrive. When Schoenfeld learned about the RIT Master Plan Scholarship for graduate study in 2021, it was the final push she needed to apply to business school and pursue her MBA. Established in 2020, the scholarship enabled her, and other alumni, to pursue a master’s degree and receive financial assistance covering 45-50 percent of the graduate tuition.

Reminder to submit proposal for Graduate Education Week by January 31, 2023

Submit your proposal to present during Graduate Education Week where your work will be acknowledged and celebrated along with fellow RIT graduate students. Proposals for posters, oral presentations, live demonstrations, and 3 minute thesis/dissertation presentations will be accepted. The highest ranking presentations will be recognized at an awards ceremony during the week and will receive a monetary award.

Business Analytics Competition

Compete for $1,750 in cash prizes as full-time undergraduate or graduate college students from any country and university. Teams can be up to five people. All qualifying teams compete using the same business data set, applying analytical techniques to business problems and situations. This event is a great opportunity for students to bring diverse thought processes and experiences together.
