Dr. Christine Licata, Interim Senior Associate Provost, has worked in the field of education for 40 years. She joined NTID in 1979 as chairperson of the Business Department and later became director of the School of Business Careers. In 1991, she was named Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs and Associate Dean four years later. Most recently, she served as Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs at NTID. In this role, she supervised 11 academic departments and was responsible for oversight of curriculum, research, faculty recruitment and development, program review, accreditation, and outcomes assessment.

Dr. Licata is known for her research in the areas of faculty evaluation and, specifically, post-tenure review. She is the author of one of the first national reports and three books on this topic.

Dr. Licata has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration-Management and an M.S. in Education, both from Canisius College; and an Ed.D. in Higher Education from George Washington University.
