When Dan Worthy (‘11) entered the Professional Studies program in the Center for Multidisciplinary Studies, he knew exactly what his ultimate goal was. He was focused, determined, and driven to make his capstone a reality.
Worthy is a US veteran who knows first- hand the difficulties veterans face when returning to civilian life. He wanted to take his own experiences and create an organization that would help other veterans get back on their feet through education and employment.
There is a short distance between senior vice presidents and front line managers in the RIT-Xerox degree program— even when they are online.
Xerox Corp. has some of its future leaders learning alongside some of its current leaders in the RIT-Xerox degree program. Participants such as Senior Vice President Jeffrey Barker and Regional Technical Manager Robbie Rodgers talked with classmates about how the program is helping reap benefits for both the employees involved and the company.

Julie Kolgini presented a paper titled “A sociolinguistic perspective on linguistic deviations in Albanian: Codeswitching and hypercorrections” at the 30th International Seminar on Albanian Language, Literature, and Culture at the University of Prishtina
Daniel Cosentino was a jury member for an the Anibar International Animation Festival that took place in Peja. The festival was organizers included students of the American University of Kosovo and had several hundred submissions from over 40 countries

Co-lead an advisor training session with Bernadette Lynch, Director of Trio Student Support Services in September. The session focused on RIT’s Institute Policies and Procedures related to academic advising and student support

Taught a class titled “Empowered Leadership and Effective Communication” at RIT Dubai in May. The class was for managers in the Ministry of Public Works and was part of the “Leadership for the 21st Century” program
The RIT-Xerox program welcomed 18 students to campus in June for a week long session which involved their capstone presentations.
The 8th Annual RIT OSHA Education Center Golf Outing took place on August 15th at Riverton Golf Club.
