AAUP (AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF UNIVERSITY PROFESSORS)

RIT AAUP is the RIT chapter of the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) that was founded in 1915 to ensure academic freedom for faculty members. Currently, RIT AAUP is an advocacy chapter of AAUP. We promote shared governance, academic freedom and the well-being of the profession, and our style is always collegial. We meet monthly and maintain a comprehensive website http://aaup.rit.edu/ to provide the faculty of RIT an organized voice through which to discuss concerns and communicate issues in a dignified and respectful manner.
