FACULTY SUPPORT GRANTS (INTERACTIVE LEARNING GRANTS)
The Division of Student Affairs provides Interactive Learning Grants to faculty and staff who would like to enhance their efforts to promote student learning beyond the classroom. The IAL grants can be used to support interactive learning activities that enhance the weekly class and laboratory sessions or promote learning interaction among students in student groups or with groups of faculty/staff. They can support field trips, gatherings, discussions or presentations which occur outside of regular class periods and which promote a richer more collegial interchange among faculty, staff and students. These programs might occur during a trip to an off-campus location, a program in the residence halls or in the Student Alumni Union, or a meal in a faculty/staff member's home, etc. Our goal is to encourage more interaction and community-building among students and faculty.
Grant application forms are available on the Student Affairs Office Division web page at: http://www.rit.edu/studentaffairs/vp_interactive_grant.php. Grants can be given for up to $400
and need to be submitted for approval at least three weeks before the intended activity.
