WELLNESS INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAM

The wellness education requirement is designed to assist students in making healthy decisions and choices to support their academic and social interactions in college and beyond. The learning experiences provided throughout the wellness instructional program curriculum are an integral part of the total educational experience at RIT.

Graduation Requirements:

Transfer Students Please Read:

Transfer students may apply course work successfully completed at a previous institution. The student’s home department will determine and make decisions regarding transfer of health, wellness or activity courses. The Wellness Instructional Program staff will be available for consultation.

Health & Wellness Seminars:

Eating, Body Image & Food, Health/Fitness Challenge, Massage: Wholistic Therapy, Motivation & Leadership, Relationship Health, Smoking Cessation, Spirituality & Health, Stress. Management; Wellness Challenge Exam; and Wellness for Life.

Dance:

Ballroom Dance, Country Line Dance, Dance/Ballet/Special Topics, Dance Performance, Fundamentals of Choreography, Hip Hop, Irish Step, Lyrical Ballet, Swing, Argentine Tango, Tango, Tap and Advanced Tap, Latin: Swing, Jazz, Beginner Dance

Fitness :

Martial Arts:
