What is the University Studies Program?
University Studies is an exciting new program designed for the undergraduate student who is undecided about his or her college major. Prospective students may be completely undecided or have so many interests that they cannot choose just one. Current RIT students may be re-deciding, and wish to further explore the options available to them. In either case, the University Studies Program may be the right place to get started.
The University Studies Program (USP) was launched in the Fall of 2009 under the Division of Academic Affairs. USP provides many services, however the most common may be assisting students in finding a major that is right for them, or helping students with the process of changing majors from and to any of the RIT programs and colleges. Through advising, coaching, career assessment and course sampling, students will have the opportunity to make an informed decision for their final RIT major.
