Jonathan Major serves as the Associate Director of Engineered Solders at Indium Corporation, a premier materials manufacturer and global supplier to the electronics, semiconductor, thin-film, and thermal management markets.

With a profound passion for product development, engineering, materials, and manufacturing, Jonathan has successfully led complex engineering programs, contributing to the design, qualification and launch of several groundbreaking products.  Notably, he has lead design, engineering and manufacturing teams that designed and launched the first Apple iPad Air, the first cloud-based smartphone known as the Sidekick and the one of the first internet connected radio. He also helped scale connected IoT services to millions of vehicles via the Cisco/Jasper IoT SaaS platform.

Jonathan's professional journey began in the heart of Silicon Valley at Solectron, a global electronics manufacturer, where he gained invaluable insights into the intricacies of electronics manufacturing. Driven by his passion to learn, design and build, he has held various positions in Silicon Valley at companies such as Apple, Microsoft, Danger, Cisco and Philips Electronics.

In 2019, Jonathan joined Indium Corporation in Utica NY, where he has the privilege of assisting customers in adopting innovative materials to address real-world challenges. He holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from R.I.T. (2000) and a Master's in Business Administration from Syracuse University (2022). Notably, he received Microsoft's Leadership Momentum Award in 2010. Jonathan resides in New Hartford, NY, with his two children, and he enjoys coaching youth hockey in his free time.
