Bio
Mohamad Saheli holds an MEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Glasgow with First-Class Honors. His technical expertise spans energy modeling, thermal-fluid simulation, and techno-commercial analysis, with software proficiency in TRNSYS, EnergyPlus, DesignBuilder, and ANSYS Fluent. Prior to joining RIT Dubai, he held engineering roles in the energy sector, including at Rental Solutions & Services, where he designed optimized hybrid energy micro-grid systems for industrial clients, and at Protium Technologies, focusing on renewable energy R&D such as photobioreactors and solar infrastructure. He also conducted CFD-based design validation for sub-sea thermal systems at JFD Global as part of his Master’s thesis.
He is currently the Sustainability & Energy Center Engineer at the Rochester Institute of Technology, Dubai, where he leads daily operations and strategic initiatives of the university’s Sustainability & Energy Center. His role bridges academia and industry, supporting cross-functional teams in implementing energy-efficient solutions, coordinating sustainability-focused workshops, and fostering impactful partnerships with clients, faculty, and research stakeholders. His efforts directly contribute to the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 vision, driving campus-wide energy transformation through consultation, project management, and training
