Bio

Dr. Tonmoy Choudhury is an Associate Professor of Accounting and Finance at Rochester Institute of Technology’s Dubai campus and a Chartered Accountant engaged in diverse projects. He has held academic positions at Edith Cowan University, the University of Sydney, and King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. In 2023, he led global policy discussions at the G20 Conference on the impact of sustainable energy on banking, influencing UN SDGs. A PhD graduate from Western Sydney University, Dr. Choudhury has published extensively in top-tier journals, earned multiple Emerald Literary Awards, and contributed to FinTech research. He also serves on editorial boards and mentors doctoral candidates worldwide.

An introduction to the way in which corporations report their financial performance to interested stakeholders such as investors and creditors. Coverage of the accounting cycle, generally accepted accounting principles, and analytical tools help students become informed users of financial statements.
FINC-220

Basic course in financial management. Covers business organization, time value of money, valuation of securities, capital budgeting decision rules, risk-return relation, Capital Asset Pricing Model, financial ratios, global finance, and working capital management.
FINC-352
3 Credits
Advanced course in financial management. Covers project cash-flow analysis, issuance of securities, cost of capital, debt policy, dividend policy, and market efficiency. Throughout, students learn how to estimate and articulate the effect of financial policies.
