You will be receiving important emails leading up to New Student Orientation (NSO). Please take time to read the important information shared by email and on this page to ensure that your NSO experience and transition to university life is as smooth as possible. NSO is meant to equip you with the most important information to help you start the semester and includes many opportunities to meet faculty, staff, and your peers.

Please note that your attendance is required in the New Student Orientation.

Accommodation and Transportation

RIT Dubai student housing is located in the Dubai Silicon Oasis, approximately a 5-minute walk from the campus. The location is available on Google Maps.

The brand-new student accommodation is safe, clean and comfortable with all standard facilities and some sports provisions.

Student housing residents are subject to the DSOA Housing Policies, RIT Dubai Student Handbook (Code Of Conduct - page 46).

Accommodation facilities include:

  • Furniture and appliances (beds, study table, chair, lamp, shelf, built-in wardrobes, personal safe and mini-fridges in studio rooms and a large fridge in the apartment units)
  • Private bathroom for each room
  • 24/7 security
  • Free wifi
  • Gym
  • Social areas
  • Free laundry services (self-serve washers and dryers available)
  • Free weekly basic cleaning service
  • Non-smoking
  • Futsal court
  • Small basketball court

Bed sizes:

  • The single size beds in the double rooms are 100 x 200cm (standard size for a single mattress)
  • The king-size in the single furniture room is 180 x 200cm (standard size for king mattress)

International Students

If you are traveling with medications to the UAE, please ensure that you are following the U.A.E. laws regarding banned and controlled medications before you travel. You can also contact or refer to your country’s consulate to confirm the information before you travel. This will ensure that you have the most current information.

Airport and Hotel Information

As one of the busiest airports in the world, Dubai International Airport provides a dynamic environment where students can encounter diverse cultures, languages, and perspectives. Dubai Airport offers a seamless travel experience with its efficient infrastructure and world-class amenities. With dedicated study areas, free Wi-Fi, and a plethora of dining options, students can make the most of their time between flights or while waiting for loved ones. Additionally, its convenient location provides easy access to various educational institutions and cultural landmarks within the city.

RIT Dubai (campus and accommodation) is situated around a 20-minute drive from Dubai International Airport.

Transportation from the airport or other cities to the housing facility should be arranged by students. RIT Dubai does not provide transportation from the airport. Taxis are always available at airports.

An airport pick-up service that is not affiliated with RIT Dubai and it must be booked from the student side is also available. More information can be found on the Marhaba website.

If your parents or family members are traveling with you and require accommodation near RIT Dubai, we recommend the Premier Inn or Radisson Red in Dubai Silicon Oasis.
