Binghatti Photography Competition
Architectural Perspectives: Capturing Form, Light, and Story
In collaboration with Binghatti, this project challenges students to explore the art of architectural photography through a series of three distinct images. Each photograph presents a unique approach—focusing respectively on composition and perspective, light and shadow, and detail and texture. The aim is to reveal how architecture communicates form, atmosphere, and narrative. Through thoughtful framing, controlled lighting, and refined post-processing, students develop both technical precision and creative vision, transforming structures into expressive visual stories.

This photograph, created for the Binghatti Photography Competition and awarded First Place, explores the building’s interior as a dynamic interplay of geometry, light, and perspective. By shooting straight upward, I highlighted the spiraling forms that draw the eye toward the central opening, transforming static architecture into a sense of movement. Warm orange tones and layered lines emphasize the structure’s rhythm, while my subtle reflection at the base anchors the moment of observation. Through this image, I sought to show how a single viewpoint can turn familiar architecture into a considered visual narrative, where design, light, and intent converge.

This photograph was created for a Binghatti-themed photography competition, focusing on the brand’s iconic geometric architecture. The image highlights the rhythmic pattern of the Binghatti building façade, using perspective and color contrast to emphasize its sculptural depth. I intentionally positioned the streetlight so it aligns visually with the structure, creating a sense of balance between the built environment and urban elements. Through this composition, the photograph transforms a familiar city scene into a refined visual narrative that reflects both architectural identity and thoughtful design.

Shaden Hamad
This project documents my participation in the Binghatti Photography Competition through a shot that highlights the building’s bold geometric façade and vibrant orange accents. I captured this moment to showcase the interaction between the photographer and the striking architecture, where human focus meets dynamic design. The image reflects my personal visual style turning an ordinary angle into a clean, expressive composition that carries a sense of identity and artistic intention.

Reem Chaaban
This project gave me the opportunity to explore architectural photography through three distinct approaches, each focusing on a different visual concept. Working with Binghatti’s dynamic building forms, I experimented with perspective, composition, and the interplay of light and shadow to highlight structure and rhythm. I also concentrated on capturing fine details and textures to show how materials contribute to a building’s character. Through careful framing, timing, and post-processing, I learned how architecture can communicate atmosphere and story, and how technical precision combined with creative choices can transform simple structures into expressive visual statements.
