Isometric Interiors: Building Worlds in 3D

In this project, students designed detailed isometric rooms using Blender, demonstrating their skills in 3D modeling, materials, and lighting. Each composition reflects an understanding of space, scale, and visual storytelling, blending technical precision with creative interior design. Through this process, students explored how form, texture, and atmosphere interact within a three-dimensional environment, bringing imaginative spaces to life from every angle.

I created this cozy bedroom scene in Blender by first modeling the basic structural elements, like the walls, floor, and windows, using simple box geometry . I then modeled the main furniture pieces, including the detailed wooden bedframe, the side table, and the round stool . For materials, I applied wood textures to the floor, windows, and furniture . I added a distinct pattern to the quilt on the bed and gave the pillow a soft, white material . A key part of the process was setting up the lighting to cast those dramatic shadows and highlights, making the room look warm and inviting, especially with the lamp and the implied light source coming through the windows.

This room render was created in blender under a strict time constraint. We had to create the best room in a given amount of time, I chose to go for a bedroom, with some furniture, a bed, cabinet, desk, chair, computer, carpet, trash bin, and a painting. I also created a unique looking window, something that will catch the eye, in addition I added volumetrics to make it seem like the sun is passing through the window and into the room.

This Blender room design shows my personality and my love for pink and pastels. The soft pink glow, the gentle colors, and the clean layout feel exactly like the vibe I’m drawn to. The abstract artwork adds that creative, dreamy touch I always go for, and the minimal design makes the whole room feel calm and intentional. It looks simple, organized, and pretty, which is basically how I like everything to be.
