In today’s world of automobiles, valuable and important data about cars such as accident, engine and service history hold immense importance for manufactures, third-party vendors, buyers, and sellers of cars. This information plays a big factor where these used cars are being viewed as new and it heavily relies on the trust, transparency and integrity. Buyers often get mislead and deceived by sellers nowadays which is an ongoing issue that people still face. Our proposed blockchain solution specifically built on polygon blockchain combats this issue.
By anonymizing and deanonymizing these critical car data points and with the help of blockchain, we strive to increase security and restrict access to manufactures and authorized third part exclusively. Our plan is to first use blockchain to create a secure system to store car information and we are building this on the polygon network. Next we will utilize smart contracts to manage how data gets stored and who gets the privilege to see it.
Testing phase comes afterwards, where ensuring all components work as they are instructed. We will generate a unique decentralized identifier for each car user so that only authorized users can access the car’s information. Therefore, by introducing our proposed solution, it provides trust and transparency between car traders and reliability of car information.
