Third Annual Black Mental Health Matters (BMHM)

NASA astrophysicist is RIT’s Academic Convocation keynote speaker

Thomas Zurbuchen, astrophysicist and the longest continually serving associate administrator for the Science Mission Directorate in NASA’s history, will be the keynote speaker for Rochester Institute of Technology’s Academic Convocation ceremony starting at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 12, in the Gordon Field House and Activities Center

College of Art and Design’s new MAKE program opens doors for creative exploration

RIT students will have more opportunities to flex their creative muscles outside of the classroom through a new program called MAKE, housed within RIT’s College of Art and Design. The new program creates opportunities for students outside of the college to engage with the resources and expertise available within the School for American Crafts and School of Art.

RIT Certified secures nearly $1.6 million in grants for workforce development programs

RIT Certified, which provides a wide range of workforce development and professional training courses, certificates, and skill-based programs, has secured three grants totaling nearly $1.6 million. This funding supports RIT Certified’s “Promoting Choice: Alternative Pathways into Work and Economic Mobility” initiative, designed to deliver employer-driven, competency-based workforce training and wraparound support with community and industry partners that will reduce the barriers to participation and work for historically marginalized communities in the Greater Rochester region.
