‘26 (MBA) was featured in a Rochester Beacon article, “Entrepreneur builds real estate business on ethical foundation,
” which highlights his business, Hart Homes. As the article states, Hart “combines business acumen and social mission to promote ethical practices in property investment.”

‘26 (marketing) has several recent accomplishments to his credit. He was awarded a Joseph T. Ferraro Memorial Scholarship; participated in RIT in LA,
a Los Angeles-based program that introduces students to the entertainment industry; and completed a co-op with Synapse Virtual Production,
in Los Angeles. Congratulations, Joshua!

Ferdinand Virtudes
‘25 (management information systems) has been selected for the 2025 LEAP Emerge Fellowship. This national program, offered by Leadership Education for Asian Pacifics,
equips Asian American and Pacific Islander students with leadership training, mentorship, and opportunities to drive community impact.

professor in the department of international hospitality and service innovation, has facilitated a strategic partnership between Saunders College of Business and the World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance. Saunders and the Alliance will “ take collaborative action to enable the hospitality industry to have a lasting positive impact on our planet and its people.”

” in Academy of Management Proceedings (June 2025). She also presented a paper of the same title
at the annual meeting of the Academy of Management, July 29, 2025, in Copenhagen, Denmark.

” in the Journal of Business Ethics. The articles discusses how incivility can silence women in corporate settings.

assistant professor in the department of finance and accounting, published a co-authored article, “The co-CEO model: Addressing the needs of a dynamic business landscape,
” in California Management Review. The article explores the pros and cons of having co-CEOs.

Ali Tosyali,
assistant professor in the department of MIS, marketing, and analytics, published a co-authored article, “Explainable Artificial Intelligence for mental disorder screening: A computational design science approach,
” in the Journal of Management Information Systems. The article introduces an AI application for screening patients with mental disorders.

Recap of Events
- The Bernard Kozel StartUp Program @Saunders
concluded its latest cohort with a Demo Night,
where eight student teams pitched their innovative ventures. The teams presented their ideas to a large audience of potential investors, friends, and family. The Demo Night
also featured a hands-on demo area where the student teams showcased their products and explained how they work to attendees.

Saunders College of Business recently kicked off the fall semester with a series of vibrant orientation events, welcoming both new and returning students to campus.
