Lauren Wells

Lauren Wells is a Metals and Jewelry Designer currently pursuing her BFA at RIT’s College of Art and Design. Her work is inspired by Art Deco and Art Nouveau art and architecture from her hometown of Buffalo, New York, transforming these influences into objects meant to be worn and experienced. She approaches each piece with attention to detail. Her practice pushes at the boundaries of adornment through material experimentation, challenging the notion that jewelry and metalwork are just traditional metalsmithing. Instead, her work expands the field, allowing adornment to be expansive, tactile, and unexpected.
