Myung Urso was born in South Korea and received a MFA in Fiber Art at Hongik University in Seoul, Korea. In 2006, she moved to the USA, settling in Rochester, NY and became a contemporary jewelry artist. She creates unique one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces using mainly fiber, paper and mixed media with precious metals.

Myung’s solo exhibitions include Bausch and Lomb World Headquarters, Rochester, NY, Velvet da Vinci Gallery, San Francisco, CA, and Patina Gallery, Santa Fe, NM. She has received awards from American Craft Exposition, American Craft Show, Craft Boston, Clothesline Festival, Philadelphia Museum Art & Craft Show, and Smithsonian Craft Show.
