International print technology company donates color management software to RIT
GMG Color recently donated one of its high-end color management software systems, ColorProof, to RIT. The system will be used as part of classroom instruction and research projects based in RIT’s Department of Graphic Media Sciences and Technology to better evaluate color quality prior to print production.

Record applicant pool signals demographic shifts for RIT
More women are applying to RIT than ever before, especially in STEM programs. Applications from women were up 13 percent across the board from last year. The surge in women applicants in STEM is helping an overall record year for applications.

RIT alumnus named FIRST Robotics Volunteer of the Year for second time
Larry Lewis ’04 (electrical engineering technology) was honored as this year’s FIRST Robotics Finger Lakes Regional Volunteer of the Year. This is the second time he has been recognized for work with the Penfield High School team, his organization of numerous new FIRST teams across the K-12 spectrum, as well as his inspiring work throughout the pandemic.
