Annual Bicycle Roundup Begins Monday, June 3

As we approach the end of the semester, Parking and Transportation Services (PATS) would like to share helpful information related to our bicycle roundup process. PATS will begin the annual bicycle roundup process on Monday, June 3.
•    All bicycles found in racks and residence hall tunnels will be chalked/marked on Monday, June 3.
•    If the tire markings indicate the bicycle has not moved in a week, it is considered to be an abandoned bicycle. Locks/chains are cut, and the abandoned bicycles are relocated to impound racks located outside of Grace Watson Hall. RIT is not responsible for the replacement of cut locks.
•    Any bicycle found attached to something other than a bicycle rack (railing, trees, etc.), will also have the lock cut and the bicycle transferred to the Public Safety Impound Racks.
•    Bicycles that have not been claimed from impound within three months are donated to area bicycle shops.

If your bicycle is impounded, please contact RIT Public Safety at 585-475-5967 to arrange an appointment to retrieve your bicycle.  Proof of ownership is required when retrieving your bicycle.

If you are not planning to keep your bicycle, please consider donating it to the RIT Goodbye, Goodbuy! Program. During collection times, they will accept bicycles at any outdoor donation bin, or at the collection headquarters (Sol Reading Room).
