The Academic Convocation will feature the official conferral of degrees by President Bill Destler and the 2013 Commencement Address byAlex Kipman, the Microsoft engineer who was recently honored as National Inventor of the year for his work on Kinect for the XBox-360 video game system and Wondows PCs.
The Academic Convocation is open to all graduates and their guests. Tickets are NOT required.
Seating is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Overflow seating will be available in the Ritter Ice Arena, located directly adjacent to the Gordon Field House.
Commencement Ceremonies
Friday, May 17 and Saturday, May 18
In addition to the Academic Convocation, each college, the Center for Multidisciplinary Studies, and the Golisano Institute for Sustainability, will host its own commencement ceremony. During these ceremonies, each graduate will be individually introduced, recognized, and congratulated by his or her dean.
