Thirteen teams participated in President Destler’s E-Dragster Race. The vehicle, “Hot Wheelz”, designed, built and driven by members of team WE@RIT (Women in Engineering) emerged as the winner with a time of 5.74 seconds in a 100 meter performance test. Paul Mezzanini, a staff member in the department of Research Computing, was runner-up with his vehicle “1.21” (pronounced One Point Twenty-One), with a time of 6.10 seconds.

Congratulations to Tyler Somers, a second-year graphic design major from Reisterstown, Md., the winner of the 2012 Imagine RIT poster design contest!
On Tuesday, March 27, from 4-6 p.m. in RIT’s Center for Student Innovation, approximately 50 students from Boys & Girls Club and Wilson Foundation Academy arrived with ideas in hand for the “Wouldn’t It Be Cool If...” (WIBCI) contest.
