Program Date: April 14, 2018, 9:00am – 12:00pm
Open to 4-6th grade girls, WE Explore is about the hands-on exploration of the engineering design process! Girls will be randomly assigned to two different ~45 minute activities, both of which will be led by KGCOE female engineering students. These small groups will explore the engineering design process in detail while completing an activity and connecting to that activity’s real-world engineering applications. In between small group activities, the whole group will convene for an interactive engineering exploration activity, designed to get everyone thinking about how engineers make a difference in the world. Visiting girls will leave with a better understanding of what engineering is, the difference it makes, and conversation starters to be used with adults at home. Dress is casual, closed toe shoes required. Registration fee covers all activity material costs. Please note that no food will be served.
Program Location: James Gleason Hall, Gordon Atrium
