Academic Support Center
The Center provides academic assistance for all students at RIT. Support includes classes, labs, and workshops in Reading, Writing, Math, and Study Skills.
Campus Life
The Center is responsible for the following areas within student life: management of the Student Union Building, campus info, student volunteering, major entertainment events, event registration and planning, the College Activities Board (entertainment/cultural programs), performing arts program, leadership training, WITR (campus radio station), Student Government and student clubs and organizations.
Counseling Center
The Center provides personal counseling, career counseling, group counseling,
and psychological and/or vocational assessment.
Disability Services
The Disability Services Office is committed to fostering an environment where students with disabilities have the same access to academic programs, support services, social events, and physical facilities as every other student.
English Language Center
The Center provides English instruction for students who do not speak English as their native language. The Center conducts 11-week programs every fall, winter, spring and summer. Customized programs are also available. Students, faculty, and staff may study a foreign language one-on-one with an international student and have documents translated.
First Year Enrichment
The First Year Enrichment (FYE) Program is designed to help you as a first year or transfer student become acclimated to collegiate life here at RIT. Our mission is to provide programs to maximize the student's potential to achieve academic success and to adjust to the individual and interpersonal challenges presented by collegiate life.
Higher Education Opportunity
The Higher Education Opportunity Program is a State and Institute funded program that provides access to RIT for freshmen and transfers who qualify according to New York State Education Department Guidelines.
Intercollegiate Athletics & Recreation
The Center provides opportunities for students as well as faculty, staff and alumni to participate in a variety of competitive sport and recreational activities through its varsity athletics, recreational, intramural and wellness programs. RIT offers some of the finest collegiate athletic facilities in the nation.
International Student Services
International Student Services assists individuals from over 90 countries. We advise international students, faculty, clubs and departments on immigration, employment, cultural, academic and personal matters. Location: upper level of the Student Alumni Union, (Building 4), room 2330.
Margaret's House
RIT's child care center is centrally located on the campus of Rochester Institute of Technology. The center provides full day care and education for children ages 8 weeks through Kindergarten and after school care for first through third grade children.

Your successful transition into RIT is very important to us, so our staff is putting together a wonderful orientation program, no matter when you are starting your career here at RIT.
Center for Religious Life
The Center is comprised of ministries from various religious traditions. It is located in the Killian J. and
Caroline F. Schmitt Interfaith Center.
Center for Residence Life
The Center provides residence hall and apartment housing, special interest houses, Greek chapter houses,
and student-focused programs and activities geared toward community development and personal growth.
Student Conduct & Conflict Management
When students are accused of non-academic misconduct at RIT, they are processed through the RIT Student Conduct System. Based on a system of fundamental fairness, the conduct process holds students accountable for their behavior, and looks for alternative ways to educate our students about community expectations. The Center also provides students a variety of conflict management alternatives, including RIT Mediation Services, Restorative Conferencing and Conflict Coaching.
Student Health Center
The Center provides comprehensive health services for the students including:
primary clinical care, health education, the PIERS Program (peer health education),
IMPACT (drug and alcohol intervention program), and RIT Ambulance.
TRiO Student Support
TRiO Student Support Services provides academic and personal support to students who are: low-income, first-generation college or students with documented disabilities, enabling students to build on their individual strengths, to acquire effective strategies for learning, to achieve academic success, and ultimately to graduate. Service and programming strategies include: free tutoring, individualized math mentoring, counseling, advocacy, networking, and referrals.
Women's Center
The mission of the RIT Women's Center is to foster an educational environment in which women can be personally and academically successful. The Women's Center works to provide information, programming, support, and advocacy that address a wide variety of issues.
Assessment
The Student Affairs Assessment assists in the planning and coordination of center and division evaluation and assessment activities in order to meet divisional goals. Services, events and programs are periodically assessed to determine the degree to which these efforts are successful in meeting student learning outcomes and satisfaction which foster student growth and development and facilitate student success and retention.
North Star Center
The North Star Center (NSC) is an integral part of RIT's diversity and pluralism efforts by establishing a model for new approaches to student development. Through recruitment, education, and retention programs, the NSC enhances opportunities for all students, with a specific focus on our AALANA (African American, Latin American, and Native American) population.
Leadership Institute/Community Service
The RIT Leadership Institute & Community Service Center assists students in developing critical leadership skills for personal and career success and encourages them to become civic minded, contributing members of society, by partnering with key faculty, staff, administrative units, alumnae, and trustees, as well as community leaders and organizations.
