The Gordon Field House & Activities Center and the Hale-Andrews Student Life Center will close at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 24 and will re-open at 6 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2. Meal Plan Information: Fall meal plans STOP at the end of the day on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019. Spring meal plans START Sunday, Jan. 12, 2020 with brunch.
Fall rollover and spring Dining Dollars are available during the break.
The Counseling and Psychological Services office will be closed beginning at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2019 and will re-open for normal business hours on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020.

Student Health Center
The Student Health Center will close at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2019 and will re-open on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020 with limited hours until classes resume on Monday, Jan. 13, 2020. Limited hours will be Monday - Friday from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
If the Student Health Center is closed, you are ill, and need advice about what to do, please contact our after-hours nurse advice service by calling the Student Health Center at 585-475-2255 and selecting the nurse advice option. If there is a medical emergency call Public Safety at 585-475-3333 or text 585-205-8333.
Residence halls close on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2019 at 10 a.m. and re-open for the spring semester on Thursday, Jan. 9 at 8 a.m. Global Village, University Commons, Riverknoll, Perkins Green, Greek Circle and the RIT Inn will remain open over the break.
A professional staff member from the Residence Life team will be on call throughout the break and can be accessed by calling Public Safety.
Residence Life Service Desk:
The Residence Life Service Desk will maintain normal business hours (8 a.m.-11 p.m.) through Thursday, Dec. 19, 2020 at 5 p.m. The Service Desk will close at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2020 and will re-open on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020 with adjusted hours:

The Residence Life Service Desk will resume normal business hours starting on Monday, Jan. 13.
The university will officially close at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2019.
Employees normally scheduled to work during this time will receive three hours of “approved with pay” time. Please refer to the Holiday Early Release FAQs or contact your HR Manager if you have any additional questions.
Classes end December 9th, 2019. We have detailed below how many hours per week students may work during the winter break. Please remember the pay week runs Friday to Thursday, and hours are tracked to reflect those days.

Winter Break Bus
Student Government has sponsored a Winter Break Bus that will run a continuous loop for one day at the start of the Winter Break and one day at the end of Winter Break. The bus provides easy transportation to and from the Greater Rochester International Airport, Amtrak station, and Greyhound station.
Transportation will be available for departures on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2019 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and for returns on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2020 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Departures: The bus loop will begin at the RIT Gleason Circle with the first drop off at the Greater Rochester International Airport, followed by the Amtrack station, with the final stop at the Greyhound station.
Returns: The first pick up will be at the Amtrak station, followed by the Greyhound station and the Greater Rochester International Airport, before returning to the RIT Gleason Circle.
