Why did you come to RIT?
I chose RIT because I love being surrounded by passionate people who make you want to do better just by being around them. RIT constantly challenges you and turns hands-on learning into real life—actually building, testing, and sometimes breaking things instead of just imagining them on paper. Honestly, it feels like the grown-up version of building LEGO sets as a kid… except now the pieces are metal, the tolerances matter, and mistakes cost more than stepping on a brick. I chose the Mechanical Engineering Technology program because I learn best by doing, not by pretending everything is frictionless or works on the first try. I had plenty of paths to choose from, but this one felt right from the start—challenging, practical, a little chaotic, and exactly where I wanted to be.
