Eiichi Mitsui

Born in Nihama, Japan to a family of potters, Eiichi Mitsui (also known as Tamekichi III) graduated from Kanazawa University College of Arts and Crafts. He studied the 400 year old Kutani ceramic techniques, and his porcelain-ware features characteristic flowing naturalistic designs and colorful glazes. Mitsui donated the collection to RIT's National Technical Institute for the Deaf.
