About the Role
The Community Engagement Chair works on building pathways for young underrepresented groups in computing by planning K-12 events and workshops. They work closely with the Assistant Director of the Diversity Initiatives office to plan out event logistics and manage relationships with local schools in Rochester. The Community Engagement chair also leads a committee of COMS members in order to coordinate and plan events.
About Denise
Denise is a 3rd year Computer Science major pursuing a minor in Business Administration. She has completed a co-op assignment at Honeywell-LenelS2, and will be working as an AI/ML student researcher in the Saunders College of Business. Outside of college, she enjoys going to the gym, reading, and trying new coffee shops with friends.
