About the Role
The President of COMS serves as the primary ambassador for the organization, representing COMS both on campus and in the wider community, as well as at related events. In addition, the President manages weekly Executive Board meetings and acts as the key point of contact for all external RIT COMS events, ensuring smooth communication with other departments and organizations. A key responsibility of the President is to prepare active members for Affinity Receptions with the support of the Vice President, while also leading and managing the mentorship program and other academic initiatives that benefit COMS members. Finally, the President is responsible for creating and implementing new initiatives to foster growth and ensure the long-term success and impact of COMS.
About Vivian
Vivian Hernandez is a third-year Computer Science student with a strong passion for both technology and travel. She has had the opportunity to visit Canada and Mexico, and she enjoys discovering new cultures and gaining fresh perspectives. Outside of her studies, Vivian thrives in hackathons and is always looking for new ways to challenge herself with personal projects and emerging technologies. She’s also a fan of music, which helps her stay focused and inspired throughout her busy schedule.
