We study fundamental questions related to cardiovascular diseases through a biomechanical point of view.
We investigate relationships and interactions among stroke and hemodynamics; valvular heart disease and flow-structure interactions; and thrombus and aspiration devices. Additionally, the group analyzes biomechanical approaches for treating such diseases, identifies potential improvements for related medical devices, and explores urgent bioengineering topics related to human health in general.
