ZainTECH, the integrated digital solutions provider of Zain Group, today announced details of this year’s ZainTECH Data Challenge, which is set to take place 1 February, in partnership with Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) Dubai, and will focus on solutions to optimize the challenges public transport networks face. The Challenge will also include the consideration of enhancements to commuter experiences within the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).

RIT Dubai, one of the university’s five global campuses, opened phase one of its new campus in 2021 and is now on to phase two, set to be complete in 2027. The new construction will be done in two stages and will help boost the campus enrollment to 4,000 students.

Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) of Dubai is set to launch a new undergraduate degree programme that will prepare students for work in the rapidly evolving fields of new media, interactive design, and mobile applications. The Bachelor of Fine Arts in New Media Design will be open to applicants looking to combine technology and creativity, to take them to the forefront of future digital communications.

Under the patronage and in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ), the Rochester Institute of Technology - Dubai (RIT-Dubai), located in Dubai Silicon Oasis, the special economic zone for knowledge and innovation and member of DIEZ, graduated more than 250 students across 16 bachelor’s and master’s programs for the academic year 2023-2024.
