Design and Fabrication of Large Scale 3D Printer

In this project, we will be building a 3D printer from scratch. We came up with the idea and the mechanism for the project as we also made some improvements to the framework, to be able to handle the weight of the large-scale items being printed. The bed will be moving on the Z-axis and the nozzle will be moving on the XY-Axis. The idea behind this design is that it's easy to maintain and manufacture. The mechanism of the printer will also face a very low error rate compared to designs seen previously built, as most of the movements are simplified and less complex, which allows easy error recognition and in case of an error, easier fixing possibilities.
