A Message from Neil Hair, Executive Director, Center for Teaching and Learning
Dear Colleagues,
And just like that - another academic year comes to a close. I want to extend my sincere appreciation to everyone who has helped make this a meaningful and productive year for the Center for Teaching and Learning.
To the CTL team: Your ingenuity, persistence, and teamwork have powered everything we accomplished. From repairing and refreshing classrooms, to delivering workshops, supporting academic technologies, troubleshooting faculty challenges, and keeping systems up and running - your efforts have strengthened our teaching community. I’m grateful to work alongside such a dedicated group.
To our Faculty Fellows: Thank you for lending your expertise, mentoring peers, and promoting evidence-based teaching across campus. Your leadership has yet again played a vital role in elevating our instructional culture and enriching the student learning experience at RIT.
To our partners across Academic Affairs, the AI Hub, the Library, Student Government, and all academic departments: Your collaboration has been essential in shaping a thoughtful, coordinated approach to supporting teaching excellence.
I hope you each find some time to rest and recharge over the summer. CTL will continue preparing the teaching environment for a strong start in the Fall! Hope to see many of you at our signature event next week - RIT’s Summer Institute, Teaching and Learning Conference (May 13th - 15th).
With sincere appreciation,
Neil
