Get RIT Ready

Hey Future Tiger!

Now that you're officially part of the Tiger family, it's time to start preparing for your arrival. This summer, we will guide you through everything you need to know before you arrive on campus.

Start checking your RIT email often. It’s where you’ll find what you need to do, what you need to know, and how to connect this summer.

For now, let's focus on the basics.

New Student Checklist

Your first official RIT assignment: the New Student Checklist! Complete the items in the “Start Here” section now. Then review the full checklist and note any mid-summer deadlines.

Pro-Tip: Keep yourself on track with the self-tracking checklist. Use the login credentials you used to manage your RIT application, not your g.rit.edu email credentials.

Orientation begins with Welcome Days on Monday, August 17, and Tuesday, August 18.

Monday, August 17 is the primary Welcome Day and includes move‑in, Orientation check‑in, and a variety of activities, including a resource fair, designed to help you get settled.

Important Dates

Tuesday, August 18 features limited programming and time to settle in before New Student Orientation officially begins at 4 p.m.

Students living in RIT Housing will receive more details later this summer about selecting a move‑in appointment time. Students who move in on Tuesday are still encouraged to attend Welcome Day activities on Monday.

Commuter students should plan to check in for Orientation and attend Welcome Day programming on Monday, August 17.

Get connected

Don't miss out on connecting with future classmates, finding your people (gamers, creators, etc.), and getting real answers from current students.

Nearly 60% of you are already in the community. If that’s you, be sure to update your status from “Admitted” to “Committed”.

Not on ZeeMee yet? Download ZeeMee on the App Store or Google Play today!

With RIT Housing deadlines approaching, you may have questions about housing or other aspects of campus life. Visit the Housing,  Dining, and Parking and Transportation websites to learn more.
