The Coat Tree is supremely simple, yet elegant. Seven stainless steel uprights are anchored by a powder coated steel base and topped with a hardwood maple ball to accommodate the heaviest of winter coats to the lightest jacket. It stands alone as a sculptural form, yet offers a useful place to hang your hat.

Stan Rickel focuses on sensible design, whole brain thinking, abstractions and perception and the education of the next generation of designers.
Prior to joining the faculty at RIT in 2001, Rickel taught at Pratt Institute and Syracuse University. In 2009, Design Intelligence named Stan as one of the most respected design faculty in the US. He established his own firm, Rickel Jackson Designs and was senior designer for Charles Pollock International. Rickel’s client list includes Farberware, Anchor Hocking Glassware, Conair, Mattel, Hasbro, and George Kovacs.
ArcWorks Design is the creative ingredient in the manufacturing division of Arc of Monroe County in Rochester, NY. A collaboration with internationally recognized designers in the creation of new products that focus on celebrating the differences and the relationship between designed products and the consumer. This process creates a sustainable in-house product development and manufacturing practice while enriching social/community outreach.
