Abstract
With concern about how the Science of Reading will potentially impact D/HH students, Dr. Harrison performed a meta-analysis of research on Deaf reading, emphasizing skilled Deaf readers. Using the SoR as a lens of analysis, Dr. Harrison constructed a model of reading for Deaf students using ASL/English that meets the expectations of the SoR while maintaining the value and centrality of ASL as the language of instruction.
