Abstract

This scoping review explores the literature on writing pedagogy for deaf, DeafBlind, DeafDisabled, and/or hard-of-hearing (DDBDDHH) students to identify whether published pedagogical practices for this population include antiracist writing pedagogy. Any pedagogical studies or teaching strategies that considered teaching writing to intersectional DDBDDHH students were included. Writing pedagogy for DDBDDHH students that did not consider race or any form of antiracist writing pedagogy were excluded. We searched GoogleScholar, YouTube, PubMed, JSTOR, and ERIC to identify studies with no specified date range since the purpose of the study was to see what, if any, published works considered antiracist writing pedagogy for DDBDDHH writers of any age.
