Abstract

The grant proposal requests funding for the Exploring Reciprocal Mentoring for Deaf Women Faculty project, aimed at advancing reciprocal mentoring practices specifically designed for deaf women faculty. As members of an underrepresented group, we recognize the need for reciprocal mentorship that reflects our unique experiences and challenges. Currently, the prevailing literature and funding applications are predominantly authored by hearing female writers, which often overlook the nuanced needs of deaf women in academia.
