Overview

Established in 2001, the President's Roundtable comprises an elite and talented group that is called upon regularly to advise the President regarding strategic issues and initiatives of major significance to the university. Membership consists of selected alumni, parents, friends, and corporate partners of RIT who are national leaders in their fields and who can provide national perspectives. Membership is by invitation from the President. The Roundtable meets twice annually, once in the spring and once in the fall.

The Roundtable consists of 45 active members. Of these 45 members, 9 reside in the Rochester area, while the remaining members reside outside of the Rochester area: Other NY (10), California (3), Colorado (1), Connecticut (1), Florida (2), Georgia (5), Indiana (1), Massachusetts (6), Michigan (1), Ohio (1), Oregon (1), Texas (1), Virginia (2), Washington (1).

Dr. Munson chairs the Roundtable and one or two members of the RIT Board of Trustees participate. Dr. Munson describes several strategic issues and/or initiatives for RIT's future and seeks the counsel of Roundtable members about how they can be addressed.

Summaries of the Roundtable discussions are shared with the RIT Board of Trustees, to benefit its deliberations. The Roundtable is a valuable source of guidance in charting RIT's future.
