Madeline’s specialty is flame-working that uses a 3600 degree flame to melt and shape glass. Exploring a fascination with science and the natural world, she uses color and pattern to mimic natural forms on a macro and micro scale, that ranges from a delicate flower to an astronomical formation. Layering and combining different glass colors creates nearly infinite possibilities. The atmosphere of the flame, the heat, temperature, and chemistry of the glass all contribute to the ultimate hue of the color.
