Please see the ELC admissions page for admission criteria. The ELC admits students aged 17 or older whose purpose is to study English for Academic Purposes. Full-time students must be prepared and able to study and practice both written and spoken English. Students cannot study only in written mode or only in spoken mode. Also please note that all ELC students are required to have a working personal computer or tablet with audio and camera features in order to complete assignments and to participate fully in courses.
SUMMER PROGRAM APPLICANTS must provide English test scores in order to determine eligibility for a particular summer program. Here are links to more information on the Summer programs and on ELC testing.
RIT students who are admitted to a degree program can be enrolled in ELC courses by simply emailing ritelc@rit.edu. RIT degree students DO NOT NEED TO COMPLETE THIS APPLICATION.
