Air Force ROTC Testimonials

"The Air Force ROTC cadets are the most supportive people I know.

When I had almost none of the items I needed for my uniform, more experienced cadets jumped in and loaned me everything I needed. When I was nervous to be flight commander for the first time for an ORI, fellow cadets went out of their way to help me practice until I felt confident. If you ask for help, the other cadets will really do whatever they can to offer support, even if it’s unrelated to Air Force ROTC."

"One of my favorite ROTC experiences was our most recent Multi-Domain Field Training Exercise, where we were split up into three different teams: Air, Cyber, and Ground.

I was part of the ground team, that was broken up into two different sections: Ground Engineering and Security Forces. This was a great experience because it challenged our whole Detachment. For the upperclassmen, it challenged them to plan effectively and efficiently while also being able to adapt. For the underclassmen, it allowed us to be evaluated for a longer period of time, but on skills that we enjoy and excel at. It is also exciting to see all of the moving parts come together and see how much each team can affect one another."

"Even if you're prior active-duty service; this program and the people you meet will improve your leadership skills greatly and further your future success in your military career.

I wouldn't trade the experiences and the people I met here for anything. I'm glad I joined the program."

"I gained a community of people that I can rely on to push me to be better.

You have the opportunity to mature into a confident leader who challenges themselves and goes outside of your comfort zone to get better."

"I finally found something that makes me excited for the future. I have a real passion.

After my first year of college I was lost. I felt like I was just going through the motions waiting to graduate, but Air Force ROTC pushed me to be in the best physical and mental shape ever. "

"Air Force ROTC has given me the chance to meet and become future life-long friends with people that I would not have interacted with in a normal college experience."
