Audio Based Covert Channel Using Audio Steganography

Generative AI is a rapidly evolving tool that is changing how technical problems and cybersecurity challenges are being tackled. To show generative AI's capabilities in the cybersecurity field we have created an audio based covert channel using audio steganography. While creating this covert channel, ChatGPT4 in particular was utilized heavily and its effectiveness was measured throughout the process. The visitor experience would include the demonstration of the covert channel by allowing them the option of recording their voice and then a secret message that can then be visually embedded into the audio spectrogram. The visitor would then be able to playback the modified recording to show that there is no discernable difference while also being able to see the secret message! Additionally, as exhibitors we would show the different stages of development of the software that was aided by ChatGPT4.
