Experiment with color under unusual lighting

Location

Chester F. Carlson Center for Imaging Science - 1155

The room will be divided in two sections. In one part of the room, a yellow-colored sodium-vapor light causes objects to all but lose their color, almost like an old sepia photo. The room will be filled with colorful objects and attendees will create drawings in this weird lighting. In the other part of the room, so-called black lights (ultraviolet lights) illuminate fluorescent and iridescent materials. Participants will experiment with glow sticks, fluorescent markers, and invisible ink pens.
