Mobi is a peer-to-peer car rental platform based in Kazakhstan, connecting car owners with renters. The platform works by allowing car owners to list their vehicles for rent on the Mobi app. Renters can then browse through the available listings, select a car that meets their needs, and book it for their desired dates. The rental process is entirely managed through the app, from booking to payment to communication between the owner and renter. The platform addresses several challenges faced by both car owners and renters in the country. For car owners, there's no practical way to rent out a car for short-term rentals, as insurance companies do not protect cars for short-term rentals. Additionally, traditional car rental companies charge high commission fees, often with a minimum of 40%. Mobi solves these issues by providing insurance coverage for both owners and renters, as well as lower fees. For renters, the challenges include high prices, no real-time car availability, and the risk of renting dirty or broken cars from car share companies. Mobi addresses these issues by offering a wide range of vehicles for rent, all of which are well-maintained and regularly inspected, as well as a more cost-effective rental process and real-time car availability. The platform also provides roadside assistance in case of emergencies. One of the key benefits of Mobi is that it allows car owners to earn extra income by renting out their vehicles when they're not in use. It is worth mentioning that Mobi offers a faster, cheaper, and more convenient car rental process than traditional car rental companies in Kazakhstan. It provides a win-win situation for both car owners and renters, and it's a great way to make the most of the sharing economy.
