She is member of the Advisory Board of the GAP Institute in Prishtina and member of the CEFTA LSEE Academic Network in London.
During 2023 – 2024, Dr Demukaj held the role of project coordinator for STEM for ALL (STEFORA), implemented by a consortium of six higher education institutions from the Western Balkans and the European Union, led by RIT Kosovo. The STEFORA Project was co-financed by Erasmus+ Program of the European Union, and it focused on fostering an inclusive and engaging STEM environment through norm-critical approaches, universal design, and digital citizenship. As part of project activities, the project teams from partner institutions collected qualitative data in Kosovo and Albania bringing into light gender inequalities in STEM education and careers and providing EU good practices to address these inequalities. The project led to developing education modules, advanced training sessions, the STEM Expert Network, and sharing results at academic conferences.
