Congratulations to Professor Richard Cliver, associate professor in the College of Engineering Technology's Electrical, Computer and Telecommunications Engineering Technology Department, on being awarded the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Meritorious Achievement Award in Accreditation Activities. The award is for leadership in engineering technology accreditation, including contributions that have enhanced institutional accreditation processes and program evaluator training.

In addition to his positive impact on the department, Rick partnered with the Office of Educational Effectiveness Assessment early in our program assessment process to develop the university-wide process for reviewing and sharing feedback to faculty on their annual progress reports focused on program improvement. He has long been a champion for measuring and improving student learning. As effectively assessing student learning is part of great teaching, it is no surprise that Rick was a 2016-17 recipient of the Eisenhart Award for Outstanding Teaching.
