4th Annual RIT OSHA Education Center Golf Outing Sets Records

On a warm and muggy afternoon, 25 participants braved the heat to play in the 4th Annual RIT OSHA Education Center golf outing on Monday, August 6, 2007 at Riverton Golf Club in West Henrietta, NY.

In an unprecedented contest, 2006 Men´s Longest Drive title holder Doug Miller, RIT OSHA Education Center Instructor, hit a drive that was so close to the one previously hit by Dave Herford of Stromtech Flooring that other teams were called in to check the distances and determine the winner. Both players had drives of approximately 280 yards, and ultimately Doug conceded his title to Dave.

In addition to capturing the Men´s Longest Drive title, Dave Hereford also took the prize for Closest to the Pin on the 9th hole. Judy Trent of DiVal Safety Equipment, Inc. took the prize for ladies´ longest drive, which she also won in 2006.

Our first place successfully defended their 2006 title.
