Commencement Volunteer FAQ

Most volunteer positions require a 3-hour time commitment and involve standing and interacting with guests for the duration of the shift.

Please see the information below to learn more about volunteering for Commencement Weekend. If you have questions, please email graduation@rit.edu. 

Volunteers may login to their account on the registration page and update their profile and/or assignment information at any time.

Volunteer Hospitality Room | Gordon Field House Reception Room (2nd Floor overlooking the pool)
Hours: 

  • Friday: 11:30 a.m.  - 2:00 p.m. Lunch  |  5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Hot dinner
  • Saturday: 8:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Continental breakfast | 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Lunch 

* Hot and cold beverages will be available when Hospitality Room is open.
