Bio
Vernice joined Institute Audit, Compliance & Advisement in August 2015. Prior to joining RIT, Vernice was the IT Audit Manager and Chief of Staff at Xerox Corporation and prior to that she worked at Bausch & Lomb, Inc. where she performed risk assessments for the annual IT plan, managed day-to-day IT and operational audits, and provided advisory services to IT and Finance management.
Vernice’s experience in the private sector has included companies such as Compuware Corporation, Marriott, and Safeco Insurance. In the government sector, she has worked for the U.S. Department of State, Michigan Department of Corrections, and the Republic of Palau’s Ministry of Resources and Development. Her roles included economic reporter, programmer, and project manager. She was the lead for Palau’s Exclusive Economic Zone project where Palau signed and ratified a boundary treaty with a neighboring country.
Vernice holds a Masters in Business Administration from Gonzaga University, as well as undergraduate degrees in Management Information Systems, Human Resource Management, and Operations Management, also from Gonzaga. She is a Certified Information Systems Auditor.
